of holiday and home...

i'm reaching the end of my 1 week holiday.... pondering on my whole 1 week which just flew in a blink..

well i went home last sunday and only returned on wednesday.. and i didn't even bother leaving the house at all till it was time 2 board the bus...lol..i had a "fabulastic" time at home.. gosh how much I've been deprived of home cooked meals, missed my mum's cooking a lot!! oh yeah and my wonderful, irritating, sickening, crazy, funny siblings.. spend loads of time with them just doing useless activity.. not to mention how they kept picking on my "cartwheels" haha.. i deserved that.. for a 50% of a cartwheel..

the past almost 2yrs I've been in KL this is one of those times i really missed home... and everything that comes with it... I used to think that I'd only miss home when I first came and not still feel the same 2 yrs later.. i was so wrong..

the whole comfy feeling of home, the smell, the atmosphere, the colourful walls (yup), ohhh not to mention the most important thing ~THE NOISEE~ haha.. its not too noisy nor is it too quiet.. its simply HOME...

then again, we all have our 'home' which is also 'haven' to some and 'hell' to others.. classes is starting in a day's time and I've got to hand in an assignment by the end of the week.. not to mention tests coming up.. gota work my @$$ on it.. well i better...

PS:to friends out there... I've been deprived of home cooked meal.. :-( *hint hint* hehe :-P

Good Friday & Easter..

yeahh i know im 1 week behind time but what the heck! lolzz

a chain of events last week made me realised that quite a number of people out there who are CLUELESS to what is actually Good Friday and Easter all about.. here I am giving a short intro to the significance of this two days which has nothing to do with easter bunnies, eggs or withcraft.

~GOOD FRIDAY~
This is the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
This represents the day in which Christians believe that Jesus Christ gave up His life to save us, mankind.

~EASTER~
This is the day in which Jesus Christ was resurrected.
This represents the day that Jesus died and rose again, He lives.

The "Easter Bunny" is a traditional holiday character in the form of a rabbit which is said to leave gifts, usually Easter baskets for children at Easter (or at springtime).

It originates in Western European cultures, where it is a hare rather than a rabbit, and in the eastern half of the continent it also has a long tradition in Hungary.

The Easter Bunny is an example of folktore mythology. Other prominent characters are Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

Some families participate in the roles of this myth without believing in it literally as a form of play or tradition.

'perfume'

Alas I finally managed to watch a movie in the cinema where it feels like it was ages since I last did.. well it was pretty much ages ago.. felt like I've been missing out soo much on the 'outside' world.. if someone were to ask me before today what was the latest movie out or the latest tv show people are hooked on to, I would have answered I have no idea at all!! Its not that I know much today but well a lot more as compared to the days before.. lol..

Anyway i went out for a movie with Nabila, my bestie... (hehe) not knowing what movie to watch, just simply deciding few minutes beforehand. We decided to watch 'Perfume' the story of a murderer...

The thing is I DO NOT... hmm no no I NEVER get scared or affected in any way by any horror movie in my life before.. well at least not that i can remember of.. don't get me wrong this isn't a horror flick but its disturbing, obsessive, simply different.. To understand this is to just watch the movie..

Here is my 'sneak preview' of the movie.. ENJOY..

Based on a best selling novel by Patrick Suskind 'Perfume : the story of a murderer' is a story of a deadly obsession set in the 18th century France.

Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an orphan as a newborn in the streets of Paris with a remarkable gift of sense of smell. His sense of smell is so refined that he can differentiate the scent of leaves, the grass and even water.

At the age of 13, he was sold into servitude to a tannery and he worked very hard here as he wants to leave this place and learn more scents of the world.
There comes a day when Grenouille runs errands in the town of Paris and discovers the object that will transform his life : Perfume.

Eager to learn the art of sophisticated fragrance making, he meets a once-renowned perfume maker and seeks his help to teach him the art and secrets behind scents. In exchange by using his remarkable gift he creates and makes perfumes for the perfumer that no other makers could do.

Ironically, he was born with no scent of his own, a distinction which colours his undistinguished life. But Genouille is fearless when it comes to the pursuit of a perfect perfume. When he discovers the most intoxicating scent he has ever experienced, the scent of a beautiful young woman. He then feels that he has found his purpose in life, which becomes his obsession to fulfill that leads on to his journey.

To watch and truly 'taste' this movie is to watch this movie with an open mind and then can one understand this movie and the meaning behind 'obsession'.

WARNING
: This movie is certainly not for the faint hearted.
